Getting and Installing the Client

2 Factor Authentication

Before considering to use the Client for settlers it is worth pointing out that if you have 2-factor authentication you must disable this, information in relation to this can be found here :-

Getting the client for TSO, click the link here :-

Client

Click latest, scroll down to the bottom of the page, under the Assets heading find and click the 'client.exe'

This will download the client to your computer, click the download tag in your browser - find client and select 'show in folder' this will allow you to copy and paste the client.exe to anywhere on your computer, for ease I copied this to my desktop, so as I can find it easy.

Double click the icon for the client - add you details and click 'PLAY', if everything has worked as it should this will allow you to join the game without using a browser, that's it.

You should now be in the game via client, have a look at the available options using the drop down menus at the top of the screen.

There are times when the client wont connect - this could be because the version of client need updating (in this case follow the instructions for getting the client - updating your version to the latest version) or because the server is down for maintenance, or a problem with the authentication that BB use. A quick way of seeing if the error is with the client is to connect via the browser version of the game. Having tested this a few times, sometimes it the client and sometime its the browser version so if you are having problems connecting please be patient.
