Hello all FUNY Guild members,

The upcoming Valentines event will start on Thursday 12th of February at 10.00 am CET (9am UK time), so just a few pointers before it starts.

You will need your Barracks and Provision house - so please do not upgraded these till after the event.

Have some spare settlers in your star menu - provision house - resources - retired bandits - this will use bread, so I would suggest that you make as many as you can within reason - this way you can quickly add them to your mayors house after battling (avoid the long wait time for settlers to be produced normally).

Troops and weapons - make these now so as you have a good supply for the event.
as mentioned before the event will focus on multi-player and coop adventures so please use the time between now and the event start to have a look on -

Work out what adventures are best suited for you range of generals and troops, remember during the event there are XP and Loot bonuses to be had - but this is conditional and require you to have valentines cards placed on your building by other players - this will become more apparent when the event starts.

I would suggest that you take the time to have a look at this info - make a plan for the event and start to prep now as much as you can.

This event is all about being involved with your Guild members - so please work out what is the best strategy for you.

Explorers will bring back flowers - short and medium look to be the best searches for this event, the only way to get refills for your flower farms (you will have 3 of these purchased from event merchant at the start of the event) is by getting involved in multi-player and coop adventures - single player adventures will not give you any refills, so please get involved with other Guild members for this event.

Hello all FUNY Guild members,

Monday 12th January marked the 10th Birthday of the FUNY Guild - so a Happy Birthday to us all :)

Christmas Event.
This Guild excelled itself during the Christmas Event - and due to donation made to the Guild Bank, this Guild was able to give away to members just over 1.25 million (yes let that just sink in 1,250000+ Presents) on behalf of Happy and all the Officers we want to say a huge THANK YOU to every player that donated to the Guild Bank, and to all members that benefited from this you must know by now that you are in a Great Guild.

Valentine’s Event.
A start date for this event has not been announced as yet, but we are hoping that it will start around the 9th of February, that being said I would ask you to all look at the info for this event from last years -

One point to remember is that since Cipsoft has taken over the game they have a habit of changing the way these event have previously run - so bear that in mind when making you preparation.

Guild Chat Room.
We encourage all FUNY Guild member to use the Guild Chat room, we are a very friendly bunch, here you can get help, advice and just get to know you fellow Guild members, so don’t be shy, come in and say hi.

Building Upgrades.
in relation to resources required to upgrade building in almost all case upgrade resources to level 5 are free in Guild Chat, ask and we shall do our best to provide what you need.

Buffing.
Please DO NOT buff players Islands without asking first.
Did you know that in most cases if you have a quest to 'Apply 'x' amount of buff on a friends island' - dropping fish or meat in a deposit will cover almost all of these, if the quest requires a specific buff that must be used - ask in Guild Chat for a player that would like these, I am sure that you will find players that would like you to place these for them.

Buff Packs.
The Guild store has been donated buff's by Guild members, I want you to send me the request for the buffs that you would like, so as before select two categories, check that I am online and send your request for the buffs, the cost of each item on the list is 1 x fish, so please have a look at the Buff Packs page on the website and send your orders to me.

Abbreviations.
A new extensive list of Abbreviations used in Settlers, can be found on the FUNY site in the Guides section, this is a work of collaboration by many Guild members and myself, please have a look, this list in by now means finished - and addition will be made to it as and when convenient.

Holidays or Absence from the Game.

Going away or won’t be online for a while please let an officer know, this way your place in the Guild can be protected. If we see a player not online for a continued period of time without us having been notified, you may well find that you no longer have a place in this Guild, so please let an Officer know.

Please remember that trading within Guild will always get you the best results - remember even hi level players all started out as needing help, and this Guild will always support you if you need resources and are putting in the effort to do your best to be part of the Guild, so if you need items ask in Guild chat, please and thank you are always good - Please do not send unsolicited request to players in the Guild.

Please note that players that do not engage in Guild chat and events where we help other members of this Guild stand a good chance of being removed. Being part of a Guild is to get involved and help where you can; this is what a Guild is for.

Migration of Game Worlds
----------------------------
As most of you now know - Cipsoft are in the process of moving Game Worlds onto their servers, we do not know how long this will take - but we are hoping that this goes smoothly and causes as few problems and issues as possible.

If you use the Client, we are hoping that either all game worlds are moved before the event starts as this will allow for an update of the Client to allow us to play as we normally do. If we get moved before the event and not all Game Worlds are moved before the event starts there is the possibility that the Client may not work as it should - so just remember that in this case you will need to use you standard login details and join via the website (unsure if this will be via Ubisoft or Cipsoft at this time).

Upcoming Event

The next event will be Halloween, the start date for this is as yet not carved in stone - to quote Cipsoft 'Our current plan is to start the Halloween event on either October 27, 28, or 29. The exact date and time will be announced as soon as they have been decided.' so as clear as mud at this time.

In the meantime I would suggest that you have a look at both the wiki and the dev diary from last year, also if you have not had a peek at the event on the test server I would do that as soon as possible.

This is a Great Guild, we consider ourselves as a very helpful Guild, always quick to give advice and help where and when needed, we have a great team of Officers in this guild as you are well aware of, and a great membership of players, but as much as this is your game and you play as you wish, we would like to encourage you all to use the Guild Chat room, if your online just pop in and say hello, thats all really, even if your shy and english is not your first language just pop in and say hi, we like to chat in this Guild and love it when players do so.

Now a great many of the players in this Guild do use the Guild chat room, help in event's and pass on information, tips and little trick's that they have learnt while playing this game, and for this we commend you, you are the right player for this Guild, after all being in a Guild is all about teamwork, we would like to see more of this - if you are a regular uses of the Guild chat room, and get invloved in Events then you are doing everything thats is required.

From now on, we would like to encourage the few players that do not do this to please start doing so, your place in this Guild could very well depend on this, no longer just logging in and doing Guild Quest will guarentee your contuined place in our Guild, we know that some players do not like the social side of the game, but please just pop into chat when you are online and say hi (not every day, but a couple of time's a week), we will be glad to see you doing this, after all being in a Guild is all about being involved, otherwise why are you in a Guild?
